NZ Cross Country & Relay Champs

The 2025 China Southern Airlines NZ Cross Country & Relay Championships will descend on Christchurch’s North Hagley Park. We’re bringing the racing to the fans with the never-before-raced course, incorporating sections of the Hagley Golf Course, designed so you can catch every step of the head-to-head racing right in the heart of the Garden City.

As the sun sets on Ōtautahi, the lights come on, and teams will tackle the electric evening of Twilight Relay racing. Club and Community mixed 4 x 2km races are on the menu, with teams battling it out for glory under lights.

The relay events bring together the best of both worlds: high-stakes championship racing and fun-filled social competition, all under the lights at North Hagley Park. Kicking off Saturday evening, this electric event features two Relay Championship races across various age groups where club teams compete for national titles over 4 x 2km.

Between the championship action, the Social Twilight Relay invites social, school, and community teams to take the spotlight in a mixed 4 x 2km race designed for fun, connection, and that sweet Saturday night energy. Whether you're there to race hard or just soak up the atmosphere, Twilight Relays set the perfect tone for a weekend of cross country action.
